Colorado Buffaloes tap San Jose State Spartans' Mike MacIntyre as coach - ESPN

I agree, Palpa. Putting SJSU in the polls is quite an accomplishment. If MacIntyre didn't land this job, his name would have been thrown around for multiple openings next year. CU landed a semi-young HC at (what I assume is) a reasonable price.

Good hire for them, he'll face tougher competition in the PAC-12 than he did at SJSU though. Also has a lot of rebuilding to do.

It's pretty easy to sell the CU program. As long as the kids don't mind cold weather, they'll commit after walking on campus. Boulder is a huge football town & it is beautiful. With an NFL background, I think Mac will have a chance to succeed (if the alumni give him at least two years to rebuild)

CU has worse football facilities than Arizona. Colorado is not an easy sell for a football player.
