    Uniform news

Not much, but a little more insight into the changes for next year:

Notebook: Installation of turf at Arizona Stadium changes location of spring game - AG's Wildcat Report

By the time Byrne hired Rodriguez in November 2011, it was too late to submit changes to Arizona’s Nike-made uniforms for the 2012 season.

There will be some tweaks for 2013.

“I guess it’s a little bit different look, but it’s not a whole lot different. I mean, it’s not drastic,” Rodriguez recently told TucsonCitizen.com.

Arizona hasn’t released details or pictures of the new design, and Rodriguez said he wanted to show the players before discussing it.

“It’s not something that you would be like, ‘Sheesh, that’s completely off the wall,’” Rodriguez said.

Arizona wore four helmets this season, including the introduction of copper and red, contributing to the Cats using a different uniform combination for each game. Red and copper helmets will continue to be in the mix on occasion.

“Our colors are still going to red, white and blue,” Rodriguez said. “There are no plans for a copper jersey.”
Color me relieved. Our uniforms right now are simple and don't need a lot of tweaks. I won't mind seeing the copper helmet make another appearance or two.

You are right about the uniforms. I would like to see a different stye of numbers. Maybe a little old school.

The numbers are fine. What they need to fix is the striping. That triangle gradient looks weird. It was OK when we were the only school using it but now several others use it too. It's played out. Just use normal stripes on the pants and helmets, and maybe add stripes to the sleeves. Also, put the stripe on the other three helmets.

Agree with all except the numbers. If I knew how I would show what I mean.. I know the Boston Red Sox used them on some of their uniforms. Their name has always been in this Type.

I agree. Get rid of the triangle, have the stripes go all the way up, and maybe add stripes on the shoulder pads. Definitely put the stripes on all the helmets except the copper one.

I wouldn't mind a navy and white stripe on the copper helmets.

Why is that SDRB? As I said in the other thread, this **** isn't about what we like, it's about what recruits like.

Excuse me for thinking that a bunch of kids with short attention spans who get distracted by shiny things shouldn't be the ones dictating the direction of our program.

Considering they are the ones that are dictating the success and failure of our program, I'd say that makes pretty damn good sense. It especially makes more sense to listen to them than to a bitter and whiny little b-tch who will never do a meaningful thing for our program and will never influence the outcome of a single game and who continuously tries to claim he knows what's best when he clearly doesn't give a **** about anything other than himself.

The best thing about this post, is it is also the UA's stance on SDRB's opinion.
