I don't know about the Bear Down watermark, but that could be so much worse. I'm sure the real thing will look real good.

How is the "Bear Down" section supposed to work? Is it supposed to be a lighter turf color (a la the grass designs you see in MLB) or did the artist goof this up?

It is wonderful. I wonder if this is the grass that RR wanted. The BearDown is in a lighter color. The field says it all.

It's not grass, it's an artificial CoolPlay surface by FieldTurf. Supposed to be 15-35 degrees cooler than traditional sun-baked artificial turf. And the Bear Down isn't an artist goof. Greg Byrne is calling it "ghost lettering".

I'd include links, but I don't have the minimum 15 posts yet.

Love the look of the new design. Most of all, I'm really looking forward to how this will change the game for Arizona and its fans.

I found the link you're talking about. I was more concerned if the color contrast is right. It almost looks too light for you to be able to see it in the seats. I like the idea, though, and if its done right the players won't see it at all, but the fans will. Kind of a sick "message from tradition" sort of idea.
