    Anae to BYU

    Jeff Call ‏@AJeffreyCall

Sources have told me that Robert Anae will be hired as BYU's offensive coordinator and offensive line coach as early as today.

He was the sole guy retained from the old coaching staff. No one else is leaving, but it'll be interesting to see what happens with the OL recruits.

Damn he was a good coach. I guess the job of OC and the larger $$$$$$$ may have something to do with it. He is also an alumi of BYU, he has a great connection to the islands.I am sure RR already has a replacement in mind. Let's steal from Oregon.

Hate to see him go, but I'm happy for him. Just had a . . . gut feeling this year that he might be yearning to get back to Provo; family ties and the near future. It's a gorgeous place to live, especially if you like the outdoors - don't know if he does or not.

Also, looks to me like our O-line is in decent shape and believe that will continue to be a positive for our team in the future. Now, it's WHO does Coach Rod bring in?? and just know it's someone who will continue to improve and grow the line.

Any news on any OL recruits who may want to follow Anae? I saw that Jacob Alsadek tweeted that he's staying committed to UA.

You commit to a school not to a position coach. Maybe to a Head Coach, but really its to a program.

I remember reading when he originally came from BYU to Arizona that he was a key recruiter in the Hawaii and Poly pipeline....How this dosen't change.
