Thread: Happy new year 2012!

. . . I'd like to make a Happy New Year's TOAST to all involved participants in PGU, GOAZWildcats and C2C:

Here's to an upbeat, positive and cheerful 2012 for all who reside in this country! May it be rich in character, fun, exciting and prosperous for us all as we move thru the next 12 months. I've tried to live my life in this fashion from early in my childhood and although it has not been easy, this past year has really reached high into the well of my personal faith. Love & cherish all those who are close to you.

It's been a very challenging last 12 months for so many reasons, not the least being the hardships that so many have endured in these tough economic times.

There are few in my large extended family plus friends and others I've known personally who have not been hit hard. More than that, I've lost a cousin (more a brother), a nephew and now threatening to lose a parent, in addition to losing my company, all in this last year. Spent most of the last 5 days in the hospital here with my mom and from Thursday evening until late last night. Still, it is like nothing compared to many I know or know about.

When I was out of the service in my young life and back into college, I was pretty primed about life, but even then I'd learned I was not 'bulletproof'. To be in your late teens/early 20s is such a remarkable gift! The great times and fellowship in college is special and worthy of being treasured forever - keep that in mind!!
