    Uafootball Davonte Neal

I feel as confident as ever that he'll be a Wildcat. There's still a chance he could announce for Notre Dame, but I really like Arizona's odds. We'll find out for sure tomorrow.

I'll do my best to rearrange my lunch break so I can watch it. It could be the biggest signing in Arizona Football History.

    a look at the finalists:

Which school will land Chaparral junior Davonte' Neal?

I posted a link last week and this author had Neal going to UA.

Notre Dame-signee Neal withdraws from Chaparral

Scottsdale Chaparral football coach Dave Huffine confirmed that senior receiver/cornerback Davonte' Neal has withdrawn from school.

"It's a personal matter and I wish him the best of luck," said Huffine, who was promoted from offensive coordinator to head coach after Charlie Ragle left to be part of Rich Rodriguez' staff at the University of Arizona in football operations.

Chaparral Athletic Director Sam Messina also confirmed Neal's withdrawal from school, saying all the school can say is that "It's a personal thing."

Do his credits really transfer when switching schools three months prior to graduation? Is Derrick Rose eligible to take Neal's SAT's?

How is it possible for him to make the grades with this late of a withdrawl? I wish him the best in the personal matter as I have no idea what it is or how severe it is, but this is hard to understand. I know some families move in the middle of a semester, so it's not impossible to do this, it's just a head scratcher.

There seems to be something really fishy with his whole recruitment. The talent is there but I am so glad he didn't bring his baggage to AZ.

Kids like this never pan out and ND has 2 of them (Kiel and Neal). We'll see if all this **** was worth ruining DAVONTE'S future but that's not our problems anymore. Thank you Mr Neal.

    Moving on...

I still wish he had picked Arizona. This, however, seems fishy & could end up as an ugly mess for the Irish. The "decision" was also a disgrace & the media would have ripped Neal harder if he hadn't picked ESPN's love-child of a University.

I have never bagged on Davonte and I understand that he was a good talent that we wanted at AZ but all the extra baggage that comes along with him (mainly his dad) is NOT what I wanted. I wish Davonte the best but who knows how it'll end up with Luke as his father. This may be the same kid from 2 weeks ago but it has been a wild and unexpected twist of events the past 2 weeks which makes this kid one of those "the talent is there, but the baggage is more and not worth the drama" kinda kids.

    BAHHHAHHHHHAAA..... Epic Bail!
Central is ranked 245 out of 400 and Chap is ranked 14 in the state!

Rank is determined by adding each school's average AIMS Math score with the average AIMS Reading score to form a combined average score. The school with the highest combined score is ranked #1.

Thats 245 out of 400 schools in the state...not a great track record for central

Chaparral's students scored better than 80% give or take of ALL the state schools on AIMS while Central was around the 50% mark.
One can't graduate without passing AIMS so @ Chap I bet there are just a handful of Juniors and Seniors taking AIMS this week while at Central there are probably a good portion of Juniors and seniors who are taking AIMS.

Would you want you kid is a school that is ranked 245 or 14?..... I imagine the teachers at Chap are setting those students up for success if they are ranked 14....
