Anu Solomon Moves Up to 131st in Rivals Top 250 Rankings

Rivals.com Football Recruiting - R250 has its share of uppers and downers

Arizona QB Commit Anu Solomon went from being unranked (outside the Rivals top 250) to being the 131st ranked 2013 in the Rivals Rankings. He is now the 6th ranked Quarterback prospect according to Rivals.

Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman quarterback Anu Solomon went from being unranked to No. 131.

"Playing for powerhouse Bishop Gorman, Solomon had no shortage of opportunity to earn a significant bump in the rankings," Rivals.com West analyst Rob Cassidy said. "He took advantage. He threw for more than 2,600 yards and 32 touchdowns as a senior -- and those numbers don't include anything he did in the state title game. If that weren't enough to solidify his standing as a top-level quarterback, he ran for eight scores as well. Solomon proved it against top level competition time and time again this season. More importantly, though, he fits the mold of what (Arizona coach) Rich Rodriguez expects his quarterbacks to be."
Good to see Anu get rewarded after winning is 4th Nevada State Title, I'm very excited that he's coming here next year.

131st is still no where close to the credit he deserves.

Since we have Nick Isham, Scroggins, and Bj is there any chance we redshirt him? Or do you think he will compete for the starting gig?

When you're dealing with a freshman QB even one that would appear to be able to adjust to the college level there's always a chance of him getting redshirted. He'll compete for the starting gig in training camp, but if he doesn't win the job there's a good chance he will redshirt.

Honestly guys this could be our Marcus mariota. With him, Carey, TJ, Wharton, hill, slavin, Griffey, and Alford look for our offense to be unstoppable
